About me
Sarah Szabo, MSSA, is a data analyst with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health (CCBH) based in Parma, Ohio. During her seven years in this role, she has been heavily involved in primary and secondary data analyses, as well as assisting with collaborative community health improvement efforts including Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) and Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIPs). She also manages and serves as the local site administrator for Healthy Northeast Ohio (www.healthyneo.org), a web-based neutral repository for population health data and evidence-based practices, and a resource for regional health improvement planning.In 2023, Ms. Szabo was recognized as an Age-Friendly Public Health System Champion by Trust for America’s Health. She recently served as the Healthy Brain Initiative Road Map Strategist and led CCBH’s efforts to increase access to local data on brain health and healthy aging. She is continuing CCBH’s brain health efforts related to data access, workforce development, and community outreach and education.Ms. Szabo has ten years of experience working in research and research administration including providing pre-award and post-award administrative support in a healthcare setting, coordinating an Institutional Review Board (IRB), coordinating recruitment and enrollment and overseeing data collection and analyses for research projects involving people living with dementia and their caregivers.Ms. Szabo holds a Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University with a concentration in aging, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baldwin-Wallace University.
