About me
As a research data librarian, Michael's role is in supporting researchers throughout the data lifecycle. His responsibilities include providing training and consultation on research data management best practices, developing data services, and providing data literacy workshops and instruction sessions.
Michael graduated with a B.A. in history in 2008, and then an M.A. in European history in 2010 from East Tennessee State University. In 2012, he received an M.L.I.S. from Kent State University and started working as a librarian at KSU in 2014. In 2015, he became the head of the map library here at Kent State. Michael is interested in sports, primarily soccer, and regional identity and the expression of that identity in things like hooliganism and other non-violent forms.
