FAIR2 Data Chats: A Participatory Research Tools to Advance Public Interest Technology in Data Analytics

This session introduces FAIR2 Data Chats as a community-participatory research tool to advance Public Interest Technology in data science. The FAIR2 framework expands on the established FAIR data principles by embedding historical and community knowledge throughout the data analytic process to address discrimination bias. We illustrate the use of FAIR2 Data Chats in two applications of integrated data analytics in the area of homelessness.

- Data ingestion methods, data models and technologies used to build the data warehouse
- Custom visualizations and interactive reporting to assist in fundraising efforts and data driven decisions
- Emerging technologies to measure and augment park and trail visitation data (Lorawan and satellite technologies)
